🌟 Site of the Month: Clay Group

We're proud to showcase this month's standout project, a beautifully crafted website by Internet 2000, built with Silex and Directus. The site exemplifies top-notch performance and user experience:

🚀 Silex Development Update: Current Contributions

We now have three contributors actively enhancing the Silex codebase:

  • Simon: He's improving productivity by adding numerous keyboard shortcuts and other enhancements.

  • Olivier: He's implementing an easy way to publish websites live with GitLab Pages, making Silex's UX comparable to commercial SaaS products like Framer and Webflow. This feature allows seamless website publication with just a button click, leveraging your existing GitLab login. Of course, you can still publish to any hosting via FTP or download the site files as a ZIP archive.

  • Alex (me): I'm working on Silex CMS, which allows designers to create websites in Silex using content from WordPress or Directus, with more CMS integrations to come. This feature simplifies content management, enabling both designers and clients to update content effortlessly. Learn more about Silex CMS here.

  • Someone nice on mastodon contributed this design for Silex login page

🆕 This Month's Releases

  • UI Improvements: Enhanced the publication dialog and class selection tool.

  • Bug Fixes: Various issues resolved to improve overall stability.

  • Notification Panel: Now, if your website has dead links, deleted images still being referenced, or other errors, you'll receive notifications.

  • Onboarding Enhancements: When you connect to Silex with GitLab, you'll receive an email with links to the documentation, and another one post-publication. These messages are also visible as notifications within Silex.

📢 Marketing Contributions Wanted

  • Website Rewrite: I'm working on the next version of silex.me with 10 pages online. I need help with reading and rewriting.

  • New Pitch Feedback: Here's a draft of our new pitch – "Silex is an online tool for visually creating static sites with dynamic data. With the free/libre spirit of the internet, together." I would love your feedback on this.

  • Onboarding Feedback: Is our new onboarding process effective? I need help refining and improving it.
