Design websites with AI — open, local, yours.

Describe what you want, see it built live. A landing page, a portfolio, a client site — AI handles the code, you refine the design. Everything stays on your machine, outputs clean HTML/CSS.

How it works

From prompt to published site

"Create a landing page with hero, features section, and contact form" — that's all it takes.

  1. Open Silex Desktop

  2. Connect your AI (Claude Code, OpenCode, or any MCP client)

  3. Describe what you want

  4. Refine visually in real time

  5. Publish — clean HTML/CSS, host anywhere

Your AI, your choice

Silex doesn't bundle a specific AI. The MCP server is the interface — plug in whatever tool you prefer. OpenCode, Claude Code, local models via Ollama, or any MCP-compatible client.

→ No vendor lock-in. Your tools, your choice.

Local first

Your data stays on your machine. The app works offline. No account required. The MCP server runs locally — nothing leaves your computer unless you choose to publish.

→ Privacy by default. Work anywhere, even offline.

HTML first

What the AI generates is the same HTML/CSS you'd write by hand. Inspect it, edit it, learn from it. Your skills transfer outside Silex.

→ Real web skills. Portable output.

How AI talks to the editor

A standard protocol connects any AI to Silex

Silex includes a bridge between AI tools and the visual editor. This bridge uses MCP (Model Context Protocol) — an open standard that lets AI assistants interact with applications.

Through this bridge, any compatible AI tool can:

  • Create and edit pages, content, and styles

  • Read the current document structure

  • Manage assets and data sources

  • Trigger builds and previews

As the AI ecosystem evolves, Silex adapts — not locked to one provider or one model.

Silex Desktop

A local app for visual web creation with AI — early prototype, looking for beta testers

  • Works offline, no account needed

  • Built-in AI bridge (MCP server)

  • Local file storage — your data stays yours

  • Publish to a folder — clean HTML/CSS, host anywhere

  • Windows, macOS, Linux

This is an early prototype. We ship fast, listen to feedback, and fix what matters. Your input directly shapes the tool.

Landing Pages

"Create a landing page for a SaaS product with hero, features, pricing, and CTA"

Documentation sites

"Generate a docs site structure with sidebar navigation and search"

Portfolios

Client websites

"Create a small business site with services, testimonials, and contact form"
